Any fans of this band? They've been together for 40 years! I grew up with their 80's music,but I love their 70's stuff,too.
I bought a greatest hits cd by them,it's awesome! lol

Chicago + Peter Cetera - they were great! I saw them in concert.....several several yrs ago. Peter had already left the group. I think I saw them in 86 or 87...a long time ago...but they rocked the house.

LOL - I know it!!!! Peter needs to join them back. Wonder why they broke up or why he left? Next thing I knew, he was singing with Cher and that's the last I heard of him.

He never really officially explained it.He wanted to do a solo project after their 'Chicago 17' tour,but they wanted to do more touring.I also think the band kinda felt shunned because Peter was singing the lead on a majority of their songs on the Chicago 17 album. It's tough being a band.

This is something that I will never figure out with bands. Yes, they do have a main man (or woman) that gets most of the attention. Primarily b/c they are the ones who is singing! The Doors were jealous of Jim Morrison and CCR were jealous of John Fogerty......just to name a few. What these guys and gals fail to see is that they need EVERYBODY to make that sound. It's just not on 1 person....simply b/c they happen to be the singer.

Yeah,but these guys have always been about the band and the music.They never wanted to have one main guy.Once peter and David Foster started writing together,I think they felt they lost their direction.

They're still rockin'!lol They're always touring and with the same frontman who replaced Peter in 1986!

I haven't heard much from them....in ages - other than on VH1 classics. Groups like Chicago do not come around very often and I really liked them! It seems like their music (sound too), like others, were real and not premade by some computer system.

Definitely real music. I would love to see them in concert.Their music is 100 times better than the crap that's 'popular' now.

I agree 100%! They were great when I saw them back in the late 80s.

I don't think they've been back to Birmingham since I saw them last. They may have....but don't know for sure.

I was flipping channels in bed this morning after I woke up and I stumbled on channel 101 on directv. Guess who was on there? Chicago! I caught it as it was going off - maybe got to see about 10 minutes of the concert. I don't know where they were playing but I don't know when it will be shown again. My receiver 1/2 way works - sometimes it will not show me the full guide or any info on the program. Check 101 if you have dtv.
